The creative work of St. Petersburg composer Yevgeny Rostovsky is wildly known to the Russian audience.

The new work - ballet "The Meek One" based on the short story of the same title by Dostoyevsky, was created for one of the leading dancers of the world, the soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre - Farukh Rouzimatov.

“This music may be singled out for its diverse tone colors and the wide range of the orchestra instruments' usage,

the arrangements of the adjacent tonal and atonal intonations and the vertical elements, the "concrete" music.

The application of the computer science in the area of the symphonic composition, the unity of the

music, the talent of the author, put Yevgeny Rostovsky in rank with the creators of the music of the future. “
